Description

The INGCO COS23095 is a ready-to-use stick welding kit: an inverter stick (MMA) welder for home, farm and workshop use — light-to-medium steelwork, together with the essential tools and protective gear in one bag. Add electrodes and you can start welding.

What it is good for

  • Steel doors, gates, window protection bars, railings and stairs
  • Light steel frames, sheds, canopies and steel furniture
  • Maintenance and repair work in workshops and on farms

Electrodes and materials

  • Takes 1.6–3.2 mm electrodes.
  • Typical current for general-purpose E6013 electrodes: 2.5 mm ≈ 60–90 A · 3.2 mm ≈ 90–130 A. Exact ranges vary by brand and type — always use the range printed on the electrode packet.
  • Mild and low-alloy steel — with general-purpose rutile electrodes (E6013) or low-hydrogen electrodes (E7018) for structural and load-bearing joints
  • Stainless steel — with stainless electrodes (e.g. E308L)
  • Cast iron repairs — with nickel cast-iron electrodes
  • Aluminium and very thin sheet (below about 1.5 mm) are better done with TIG or MIG welding

Key specifications

  • Output current: 15–160 A
  • Duty cycle: 160A@30%
  • No-load voltage: 81 V
  • Electrode diameter: 1.6–3.2 mm

Duty cycle in practice

Duty cycle 160A@30%: measured over a 10-minute period, this means about 3 minutes of welding at 160 A, followed by about 7 minutes of cooling. At lower currents the machine can weld for longer. Staying within the duty cycle protects the machine and extends its life.

Power supply

Single-phase 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz — runs on a normal household supply. Avoid long, thin extension leads. Low or unstable mains voltage reduces the welding current available. If you use a generator, choose one with enough capacity and automatic voltage regulation (AVR).

Features

  • IGBT inverter technology — lighter and more energy-efficient than a traditional transformer welder, with a stable DC arc
  • Hot Start — a short current boost when the arc strikes, for easier starting
  • Arc Force — raises the current when the arc gets too short, so the arc does not die out
  • Anti-Stick — cuts the current if the electrode sticks, so it can be freed without damaging it

In the box (per INGCO)

  • Inverter MMA welding machine with electrode holder and cable, earth clamp and cable, wire brush and carry strap
  • Extra electrode holder
  • Set of 6 magnetic welding holders
  • 11" C-clamp locking plier
  • Auto-darkening welding goggles
  • Pair of welding gloves
  • Leather welding apron
  • 16" tool bag, 1680D polyester

You will also need

  • Welding electrodes
  • Chipping hammer for removing slag

Always weld with a proper welding helmet, gloves and protective clothing, in a well-ventilated area.

Specifications are as published by INGCO for model COS23095. Usage guidance reflects general welding practice — always follow the machine's manual and the electrode or wire manufacturer's recommendations.
