Description

The INGCO ING-FC13012 is a gasless flux-cored (FCAW) wire welder. The flux inside the wire shields the weld, so no gas cylinder is needed — ideal for home users and for outdoor work where wind would blow shielding gas away.

What it is good for

  • Home and DIY repairs on mild steel: gates, fences, window protection bars, shelves and frames
  • Outdoor, rooftop and farm repairs — no gas to be blown away
  • Easy wire welding for beginners: continuous wire feed, no electrode changes

Wire and materials

  • Uses 0.8/0.9 mm self-shielded flux-cored wire for mild steel
  • Flux-cored welds leave a layer of slag — chip and brush it off after welding
  • Produces more smoke than gas-shielded MIG — weld in a well-ventilated area

Key specifications

  • Output current: 30–130 A
  • Duty cycle: 40%
  • No-load voltage: 33 V
  • Flux-cored wire size: 0.8/0.9 mm · built-in wire feeder
  • Input: single-phase 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz

Duty cycle in practice

Duty cycle 40%: measured over a 10-minute period, this means about 4 minutes of welding at its rated output, followed by about 6 minutes of cooling. At lower currents the machine can weld for longer. Staying within the duty cycle protects the machine and extends its life.

Power supply

Runs on a normal household single-phase 220–240 V supply. Low or unstable mains voltage reduces the welding current available; if you use a generator, choose one with enough capacity and automatic voltage regulation (AVR).

In the box (per INGCO)

  • 0.45 kg spool of 0.9 mm flux-cored wire
  • Earth clamp with cable

You will also need

  • Extra flux-cored wire (0.8 or 0.9 mm)
  • Chipping hammer for removing slag
  • Welding helmet
  • Welding gloves and protective clothing

Always weld with a proper welding helmet, gloves and protective clothing, in a well-ventilated area.

Specifications are as published by INGCO for model ING-FC13012. Usage guidance reflects general welding practice — always follow the machine's manual and the electrode or wire manufacturer's recommendations.
