Description

The INGCO ING-MGT1601 is a 3-in-1 single-phase inverter welder: MIG/MAG (wire welding with shielding gas), MMA (stick electrodes) and Lift TIG. One machine covers fast, clean wire welding on sheet and light steel, stick welding for outdoor and general work, and TIG for neat welds.

What it is good for

  • Sheet metal and car-body repairs (MIG with 0.6–0.8 mm wire)
  • Light steel fabrication: frames, gates, railings, furniture, trailers
  • Outdoor and site repairs in MMA mode, where wind would blow shielding gas away
  • Neat welds on steel and stainless steel in Lift TIG mode (TIG torch not included)

Wire, gas, electrodes and materials

  • MIG/MAG: mild steel with solid wire and CO₂ or argon/CO₂ mixed gas; stainless steel with stainless wire and a suitable argon-based gas
  • MMA: 1.6–4.0 mm electrodes — E6013 for general work, E7018 for structural joints
  • Lift TIG (DC): steel, stainless steel and copper; aluminium needs an AC TIG machine

Key specifications

  • MIG/MAG output current: 10–160 A
  • MMA output current: 10–160 A
  • Lift TIG output current: 10–160 A
  • Duty cycle: 30%@40℃
  • No-load voltage: 80 V
  • Wire size: 0.6 / 0.8 / 1.0 mm · wire speed 2–11 m/min · built-in wire feeder for 5 kg spools
  • MMA electrode diameter: 1.6–4.0 mm
  • Input: single-phase 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz

Duty cycle in practice

Duty cycle 30%@40℃: measured over a 10-minute period at 40 °C, this means about 3 minutes of welding at its rated output, followed by about 7 minutes of cooling. At lower currents the machine can weld for longer. Staying within the duty cycle protects the machine and extends its life.

Power supply

Runs on a normal single-phase 220–240 V supply. Low or unstable mains voltage reduces the welding current available; if you use a generator, choose one with enough capacity and automatic voltage regulation (AVR).

Features

  • Inverter technology — lighter and more energy-efficient than a traditional transformer welder
  • Built-in wire feeder
  • Digital display

In the box (per INGCO)

  • Electrode holder with cable
  • Earth clamp with cable
  • Wire brush
  • Welding helmet
  • MIG torch

You will also need

  • MIG welding wire, gas cylinder and regulator
  • Welding electrodes
  • TIG torch with gas valve (for Lift TIG)
  • Argon gas cylinder and regulator (for TIG)
  • Welding gloves and protective clothing

Always weld with a proper welding helmet, gloves and protective clothing, in a well-ventilated area.

Specifications are as published by INGCO for model ING-MGT1601. Usage guidance reflects general welding practice — always follow the machine's manual and the electrode or wire manufacturer's recommendations.
