The INGCO ING-MMA200691 is a strong single-phase inverter stick (MMA) welder for workshop and site work on medium steelwork. It delivers 15–200 A and runs 1.6–4.0 mm electrodes. It also offers Lift TIG for neater welds on steel and stainless steel.
What it is good for
- Medium steel fabrication: doors, gates, railings, stairs and steel frames
- Workshop maintenance and repair of agricultural and workshop equipment
- Regular site work with 3.2 mm and 4.0 mm electrodes
Electrodes and materials
- Takes 1.6–4.0 mm electrodes.
- Typical current for general-purpose E6013 electrodes: 2.5 mm ≈ 60–90 A · 3.2 mm ≈ 90–130 A · 4.0 mm ≈ 120–170 A. Exact ranges vary by brand and type — always use the range printed on the electrode packet.
- Mild and low-alloy steel — with general-purpose rutile electrodes (E6013) or low-hydrogen electrodes (E7018) for structural and load-bearing joints
- Stainless steel — with stainless electrodes (e.g. E308L)
- Cast iron repairs — with nickel cast-iron electrodes
- Aluminium and very thin sheet (below about 1.5 mm) are better done with TIG or MIG welding
Key specifications
- Output current: 15–200 A
- Duty cycle: 200A@60%
- No-load voltage: 79 V
- Electrode diameter: 1.6–4.0 mm
Duty cycle in practice
Duty cycle 200A@60%: measured over a 10-minute period, this means about 6 minutes of welding at 200 A, followed by about 4 minutes of cooling. At lower currents the machine can weld for longer. Staying within the duty cycle protects the machine and extends its life.
Power supply
Single-phase 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz — runs on a normal single-phase supply, but at high current it needs a dedicated, adequately rated circuit. Avoid long, thin extension leads. Low or unstable mains voltage reduces the welding current available. If you use a generator, choose one with enough capacity and automatic voltage regulation (AVR).
Features
- IGBT inverter technology — lighter and more energy-efficient than a traditional transformer welder, with a stable DC arc
- Hot Start — a short current boost when the arc strikes, for easier starting
- Arc Force — raises the current when the arc gets too short, so the arc does not die out
- Anti-Stick — cuts the current if the electrode sticks, so it can be freed without damaging it
- VRD (voltage reduction device) — lowers the voltage at the electrode holder when you are not welding, reducing the risk of electric shock, especially in humid or confined spaces
- Lift TIG — DC TIG (argon) welding: the arc is started by touching the tungsten to the work and lifting it. Gives clean, precise welds on steel, stainless steel and copper; not suitable for aluminium, which needs AC TIG. Needs a TIG torch with gas valve, argon and a regulator
In the box (per INGCO)
- Electrode holder with cable
- Earth clamp with cable
- Wire brush
- Welding helmet
You will also need
- Welding electrodes
- TIG torch with gas valve (for Lift TIG)
