Description

The INGCO ING-MMA25089 is a high-output inverter stick (MMA) welder for professional workshops and heavier steelwork. It delivers 30–200 A on 220–240 V and 30–250 A on 380–400 V and runs 1.6–5.0 mm electrodes. It also offers Lift TIG for neater welds on steel and stainless steel.

What it is good for

  • Professional workshops: steel structures, heavier frames and thicker steel
  • Long runs with 3.2–4.0 mm electrodes, and work with 5.0 mm electrodes
  • Repair of heavy equipment and machinery

Electrodes and materials

  • Takes 1.6–5.0 mm electrodes.
  • Typical current for general-purpose E6013 electrodes: 2.5 mm ≈ 60–90 A · 3.2 mm ≈ 90–130 A · 4.0 mm ≈ 120–170 A · 5.0 mm ≈ 170–240 A. Exact ranges vary by brand and type — always use the range printed on the electrode packet.
  • Mild and low-alloy steel — with general-purpose rutile electrodes (E6013) or low-hydrogen electrodes (E7018) for structural and load-bearing joints
  • Stainless steel — with stainless electrodes (e.g. E308L)
  • Cast iron repairs — with nickel cast-iron electrodes
  • Aluminium and very thin sheet (below about 1.5 mm) are better done with TIG or MIG welding

Key specifications

  • Output current: 30–200 A on 220–240 V and 30–250 A on 380–400 V
  • Duty cycle: 250A@60%
  • No-load voltage: 75/65 V
  • Electrode diameter: 1.6–5.0 mm

Duty cycle in practice

Duty cycle 250A@60%: measured over a 10-minute period, this means about 6 minutes of welding at 250 A, followed by about 4 minutes of cooling. At lower currents the machine can weld for longer. Staying within the duty cycle protects the machine and extends its life.

Power supply

Dual input voltage: 220–240 V or 380–400 V, single-phase, 50/60 Hz (as specified by INGCO). Output is 30–200 A on 220–240 V and the full 30–250 A on 380–400 V. Have the 380–400 V connection made by a qualified electrician. At high current it needs a dedicated, adequately rated circuit.

Features

  • IGBT inverter technology — lighter and more energy-efficient than a traditional transformer welder, with a stable DC arc
  • Hot Start — a short current boost when the arc strikes, for easier starting
  • Arc Force — raises the current when the arc gets too short, so the arc does not die out
  • Anti-Stick — cuts the current if the electrode sticks, so it can be freed without damaging it
  • VRD (voltage reduction device) — lowers the voltage at the electrode holder when you are not welding, reducing the risk of electric shock, especially in humid or confined spaces
  • Lift TIG — DC TIG (argon) welding: the arc is started by touching the tungsten to the work and lifting it. Gives clean, precise welds on steel, stainless steel and copper; not suitable for aluminium, which needs AC TIG. Needs a TIG torch with gas valve, argon and a regulator

In the box (per INGCO)

  • Machine only — accessories sold separately

You will also need

  • Welding electrodes
  • Welding cables, electrode holder and earth clamp — rated for the current you will use
  • TIG torch with gas valve (for Lift TIG)
  • Argon gas cylinder and regulator (for TIG)
  • Welding helmet
  • Welding gloves and protective clothing

Always weld with a proper welding helmet, gloves and protective clothing, in a well-ventilated area.

Specifications are as published by INGCO for model ING-MMA25089. Usage guidance reflects general welding practice — always follow the machine's manual and the electrode or wire manufacturer's recommendations.
