The INGCO ING-MMA6308 is an industrial three-phase inverter stick (MMA) welder for heavy fabrication and long, high-current welding. It delivers 20–630 A and runs 2.5–6.0 mm electrodes.
What it is good for
- Heavy steel fabrication: structural steel, beams, columns and heavy plate
- Tanks, heavy machinery and equipment repair
- Production welding with large electrodes and long arc times
Electrodes and materials
- Takes 2.5–6.0 mm electrodes.
- Typical current for general-purpose E6013 electrodes: 2.5 mm ≈ 60–90 A · 3.2 mm ≈ 90–130 A · 4.0 mm ≈ 120–170 A · 5.0 mm ≈ 170–240 A. Exact ranges vary by brand and type — always use the range printed on the electrode packet.
- Mild and low-alloy steel — with general-purpose rutile electrodes (E6013) or low-hydrogen electrodes (E7018) for structural and load-bearing joints
- Stainless steel — with stainless electrodes (e.g. E308L)
- Cast iron repairs — with nickel cast-iron electrodes
- Aluminium and very thin sheet (below about 1.5 mm) are better done with TIG or MIG welding
Key specifications
- Output current: 20–630 A
- Duty cycle: 630A@60%
- No-load voltage: 85 V
- Electrode diameter: 2.5–6.0 mm
Duty cycle in practice
Duty cycle 630A@60%: measured over a 10-minute period, this means about 6 minutes of welding at 630 A, followed by about 4 minutes of cooling. At lower currents the machine can weld for longer. Staying within the duty cycle protects the machine and extends its life.
Power supply
Three-phase 380–400 V, 50/60 Hz industrial supply — not a household socket. Have it connected by a qualified electrician with suitably rated cable and protection. If run from a generator, it must be a three-phase generator of adequate capacity.
Features
- IGBT inverter technology — lighter and more energy-efficient than a traditional transformer welder, with a stable DC arc
In the box (per INGCO)
- Machine only — no accessories included
You will also need
- Welding electrodes
- Welding cables, electrode holder and earth clamp — rated for the current you will use
- Welding helmet
- Welding gloves and protective clothing
Always weld with a proper welding helmet, gloves and protective clothing, in a well-ventilated area.
Specifications are as published by INGCO for model ING-MMA6308. Usage guidance reflects general welding practice — always follow the machine's manual and the electrode or wire manufacturer's recommendations.
