Description

The INGCO ING-TIG16058 is a single-phase inverter DC TIG (argon) welder that also works as a stick (MMA) welder. TIG gives clean, precise, spatter-free welds — the choice for stainless steel and thin material — while MMA mode handles general steelwork with 1.6–4.0 mm electrodes.

What it is good for

  • Stainless steel: kitchen and food equipment, handrails, tanks and fittings
  • Thin steel and stainless sheet, tube and pipe where a neat finish matters
  • Copper and brass parts
  • General steel fabrication and repair in MMA (stick) mode
  • Not for aluminium — aluminium needs an AC TIG machine

Key specifications

  • TIG output current: 15–160 A
  • MMA output current: 15–160 A
  • Duty cycle: 40%
  • No-load voltage (TIG / MMA): 85 V / 85 V
  • MMA electrode diameter: 1.6–4.0 mm
  • Tungsten electrode: Ø1.6 / Ø2.4 mm
  • Input: single-phase 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz

Duty cycle in practice

Duty cycle 40%: measured over a 10-minute period, this means about 4 minutes of welding at its rated output, followed by about 6 minutes of cooling. At lower currents the machine can weld for longer. Staying within the duty cycle protects the machine and extends its life.

Power supply

Runs on a normal single-phase 220–240 V supply. Low or unstable mains voltage reduces the welding current available; if you use a generator, choose one with enough capacity and automatic voltage regulation (AVR).

Features

  • Inverter technology — lighter and more energy-efficient than a traditional transformer welder
  • Pulse function — alternates between high and low current to control heat: less distortion and burn-through on thin sheet and stainless steel
  • Spot function — short, timed welds for tacking and spot-joining thin sheet
  • LCD display

In the box (per INGCO)

  • Electrode holder with cable
  • Earth clamp with cable
  • Wire brush
  • Welding helmet
  • TIG torch

You will also need

  • Argon gas cylinder and regulator (for TIG)
  • Tungsten electrodes and TIG filler rods
  • Welding electrodes
  • Welding gloves and protective clothing

Always weld with a proper welding helmet, gloves and protective clothing, in a well-ventilated area.

Specifications are as published by INGCO for model ING-TIG16058. Usage guidance reflects general welding practice — always follow the machine's manual and the electrode or wire manufacturer's recommendations.
