Terms and conditions
By using Emar Syria or placing an order on it, you agree to the terms below. Please read them.
1. What Emar Syria is
Emar Syria is a marketplace: a platform that brings independent sellers and buyers together. The products listed are owned and sold by those sellers, not by the platform — except where the seller is explicitly stated to be Emar Syria itself.
This means the contract of sale is between you and the seller, and the seller is responsible for their product being genuine and matching its description.
Even so, Emar Syria itself handles return requests and disputes between buyer and seller. We do not send you off to settle it with the seller alone. See our return policy.
2. Your account
You can browse without an account, but placing an order requires one. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter — especially your phone number and address, because the parcel cannot arrive without them — and for keeping your password safe.
3. Orders, and when they are accepted
Placing an order is an offer to buy, not a completed contract. The order is accepted when we confirm it to you, normally by phone call or a confirmation message.
We may refuse or cancel an order, telling you why, including where:
- the seller's stock has run out;
- there is an obvious error in the price or the product description;
- we cannot reach you to confirm the order or the address;
- the order shows signs of not being genuine.
If you have already paid for an order that is cancelled, you are refunded in full.
4. Prices and currency
Listed prices cover the product and exclude shipping, which is calculated and shown to you at checkout.
Prices are shown in the store's displayed currency, and the amount is collected on delivery in the currency agreed when the order was confirmed.
Prices can change at any time, but the price that applies to your order is the one shown when it was confirmed.
If a product appears at an obviously wrong price, we are not obliged to sell at that price; we will tell you and let you cancel.
5. Shipping and delivery
Shipping, delivery times, and payment methods are set out on the shipping and payment page. Delivery times are estimates and depend on the courier and on road conditions.
6. Returns and guarantee
Returns are governed by our return policy, which is one single policy that every seller follows. The operational guarantee covers correct operation during initial testing and does not extend to a long-term repair service.
7. Using the site
You may not use the store for any unlawful purpose, attempt to disrupt or break into it, or scrape its contents for republication. The text, images, and marks shown belong to their owners and may not be reused commercially without permission.
8. Limits of liability
We do what we can to keep information accurate and the store available, but we cannot guarantee that every description and specification is free of error, or that the site will run without interruption.
Our liability to you for any order does not exceed what you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost work or lost profit.
None of this limits what we owe you for a product that is faulty or not as described.
9. Privacy
How we handle your data is set out in our privacy policy.
10. Sellers
Selling on the platform is governed by the vendor terms and conditions, also shown to you when you apply for a seller account, which are in addition to these terms, not instead of them. The commercial terms — commission rate, payout schedule and method — are set out in the seller agreement you receive when your application is approved.
11. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. The terms that apply to your order are the ones published at the moment you placed it, not any later version.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Syrian Arab Republic, and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute not settled amicably.
